As a Tomb Raider fan from the first game, I can say this is one of the most beautiful fan arts I've ever seen. When I saw this it took me some time to understand it was a drawing and not a 3D render, you did a very good work **
It's a bit too soft for my liking (almost looks a bit blurry) but except for that it's awesome. Looks like it was print-screened directly out of the trailer. And that broken porcelain effect at the bottom is extremely stylish!
What is so amazing about this work is that it totally fits in with the underlying theme of vulnerability and youthful naivety that they are exploring with the new reboot of Tomb Raider. Love the tonal lights and darks divided by saturated shapes.
Yeah I'm still just as impressed and I also noticed something rather funny- did you ever realize how people assume work is done in a 3d program just because said rendering of work closely resembles a smooth or shaded appearance closer to digital than traditional? It strikes me as sort of interesting.
